Roxanne Etchemendy

DUI and traffic lawyer, Reno

I grew up in Reno, learned to drive on Mount Rose Highway, and have spent my career on the cases that start on a road.

Before I opened this office I defended people in the Reno and Sparks courts, and most of them had been pulled over. The work taught me two things. The license deadline catches more people than the charge does. And the people I represent mostly want someone to tell them, plainly and soon, what's going to happen.

So that's how the practice runs. One lawyer, one phone that takes texts, and a written fee before you sign. I take driving cases only, which means I know the paperwork, the hearing officers and the courtrooms well.

Outside the office I coach a youth soccer team in Sparks and spend too many weekends repairing an old pickup.

How I work

Three rules for the practice

  • Answer the same day

Every call, text and form gets an answer the day it arrives, weekends included.

  • Price it in writing

You get the fee on the first call, and it's the same number in the agreement.

  • Tell you the odds

Good news or bad, you hear it straight, and before you have to decide anything.
